PLEX Integration

Here at SPF, we want to thank our customers for continuing to choose SPF as we integrate with PLEX. As what comes with any significant change, we are understanding of the many challenges and complications the transition may have caused.

We are as dedicated and determined as ever to deliver our best to our customers!

Integrating with PLEX gives us the ability to connect our processes, automate certain practices, and track data more efficiently (which leads into better analyses within our production). PLEX is a manufacturing solution that offers facilities, such as SPF, a better way to maintain and progress our processes. PLEX is a long term investment for not only SPF, but also our customers. We are grateful for the many opportunities, as well as expansion, that this allows for our company and yours.

Our Continuous Improvement program aims to consistently make our work flow more accessible, add value to products and production, as well as reduce waste. PLEX is one of our biggest projects we've begun since starting Continuous Improvement.

So far in the third quarter, we have:
  • Integrated with PLEX.

  • improving our silkscreen process.

  • Completed technical analysis of powder coating booths, improved maintenance routines for this area. We are also currently evaluating a new powder coating process that could bring significant benefits in terms of quality, efficiency, safety, and costs.

Our plans for fourth quarter in our Continuous Improvement program include:
  • Finishing implementation of CI in the paint area.

  • Applying the CI survey again (We applied for the first time in April this year)
This is to understand the level of involvement and satisfaction of our workers with the CI program, and is part of CI culture improvement.

  • Implementation of a new soldering process.
